About The Phantom of the Opera

The Phantom of the Opera at 57 Haymarket, London follows the Phantom, who lives in shadow beneath the Paris Opera House, and his love for Christine Daaé. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score, along with the show’s scenery and special effects, brings the story to the stage.

First opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles, the musical has since become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time. It has won 70 major theatre awards and has been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.

Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one interval. Times: Monday to Friday at 7.30pm; Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Before you book

Children under 4 will not be admitted. Anyone aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a valid ticket.

You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket. Please print and bring it on the day, and arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance start time. You may also need to present valid ID.

Stalls Row N-S will have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang. Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase.
