About The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera at His Majesty’s Theatre follows the Phantom beneath the Paris Opera House, where he lives in shadow and becomes intensely drawn to Christine Daaé. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score is paired with scenery and special effects.
The musical first opened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday 9 October 1986 with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in the leading roles. Since then, it has become one of the highest-grossing musicals of all time, won 70 major theatre awards and been seen by over 140 million people worldwide.
Running time: 2 hours and 30 minutes including one interval. Performance times: Monday to Friday at 7.30pm; Saturday at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
Before you book
Children under 4 will not be admitted. All persons aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult and may not sit on their own within the auditorium. Everyone entering the theatre, regardless of age, needs a valid ticket.
You will receive a confirmation email with your e-ticket; please print it and bring it on the day. Arrive at least 30 minutes before the performance start time, and you may also need to show valid ID. No exchanges or refunds are available after purchase. Stalls Row N-S have the top of the staging obscured by the Royal Circle overhang. Single seats cannot be left in a row when booking.
