Synopsis: In one family, there is a woman whose name is never spoken. 'We Don't Say Her Name' is a new bilingual play blending drama, live Bengali music and intergenerational storytelling. Lina announces that she wants to become an actress. In doing so, she unintentionally uncovers a family secret. This has remained hidden for decades. Three generations confront inherited fears about reputation, ambition and belonging. The play asks whether curiosity is something to fear - or the beginning of freedom. This moving production explores the courage to ask difficult questions, honour the past and create a different future. Intimate and uplifting, it invites audiences to reflect on the stories families keep hidden. There are also the voices waiting to be heard. It features live songs inspired by Bengal's rich musical heritage.
