You've heard of Macmillan Coffee Morning? Well, we're hosting a Macmillan Whisky Evening to raise as much cash as we can for cancer support.

You've heard of the Macmillan Coffee Morning? It raises millions of pounds each year for cancer research and support. Well, we have decided to host a Macmillan Whisky Evening. There will not be a coffee, tea or Victoria sponge cake in sight.

Just whiskies from our own collection that will be available for sampling. We plan to bring around 40-50 bottles covering Scotch, American, Irish and other distilleries from around the world.

How will it work? BOOK YOUR £5 TICKET here to secure your place. This gets you a glass, which you can take home. Then on the night, you will donate whatever you feel this experience or a particular whisky is worth, whatever you want to or can afford to. For guidance - our tasting tickets usually cost £25 and this gets you five whiskies. We will have donation points for cash or card available.

We will pour each whisky for you and ask you to Drink Responsibly - we are legally required to monitor consumption. This is not a tutored tasting as such, but an opportunity to chat and share a dram with others.

We also plan to hold an auction at the end of the night - this will enable you to make us an offer for the remainder of your favourite bottle, donate that amount and take it home.

All money raised on the night from sample sales and the auction will go directly to our dedicated Macmillan/JustGiving Whisky Evening page. All money from ticket sales will be held by Eventbrite and then paid to the charity by us.

Our Macmillan Whisky Evening will take place at The Winchester, a fabulous pub on Archway Road, N6. This is just 7-8 minutes walk from Highgate underground station (Northern Line / High Barnet branch) and 10-12 minutes walk from Archway underground station (also Northern Line / High Barnet branch). Several local bus routes also stop nearby.

The event will last approximately 2-3 hours.

No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.

All guests are asked to Drink Responsibly. Water will be provided.

Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age.
