About This Event

Peter Apps explains the factors that led up to the Grenfell disaster and how the tragedy has changed the facades sector for good. Peter Apps comes to Material Source studio in Manchester as a guest of Shackerley Facade Systems to give a talk based on his best-selling and award winning book about the Grenfell disaster 'Show Me the Bodies'. A respected journalist, Peter broke a story about the dangers of combustible cladding just a month before the Grenfell disaster, and in his book, he shares stories of those affected, along with technical knowledge and the political and policy backdrop that contributed to the disaster. This informal event will combine a talk from Peter Apps with the opportunity to network with colleagues and peers from the facades, constructio and architectural community, and ask questions of the Shackerley team. The session includes a light lunch. Entry is free, with a suggested donation of £5. All proceeds will be donated to The Grenfell Foundation.
