Opening event for our summer exhibition, Art on a Postcard

Art in Whitefield wishes you were here. Following an open call for all artists based in the UK to submit to ‘Art on a Postcard’ we have our very first summer exhibition.

The exhibition will be curated by professional artists from Art in Whitefield. It will be held at Besses o’ th’ Barn Brass Band headquarters. Besses was founded in 1818 and is one of the world’s most historic and celebrated brass bands. The exhibition will share the space with Besses’ timpani drums.

Exhibition location: Besses o’th’ Barn Band -2 Moss Lane, Whitefield, M45 6HG.

Exhibition will run from opening night event Thursday 27th August 5pm to 7pm, and then daily 12-4pm until Thursday 3rd September.

All work will be for sale at £30 each, with £20 for the artist, the rest split between Besses Band and Art in Whitefield.

A little about us, Art in Whitefield is an informal, grass-roots, network of artists and art enthusiasts that want to encourage more art and culture in the town of Whitefield, Greater Manchester. We are excited about supporting artists throughout the UK to exhibit in Whitefield.
