About This Event

A workshop teaches how to map out key operations, design a proposition and articulate how a business generates impact. It takes place at Generator Royal Mills in Manchester on 22 September 2026.

Learn how to map out key operations, design your proposition and articulate how your business generates impact.

Please note: To join this workshop you or your business needs to reside within one of the following GM local authorities: Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Manchester, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside or Trafford, Wigan.

You also need to be: The owner of a business OR an aspiring entrepreneur with a business idea you want to develop.

Besides your Eventbrite ticket to the event, you will also need to register with Generator HERE.

Doors will be open at 09:30, with the talk beggining soon thereafter.

Whether you’re refining an existing business or shaping a new idea, this interactive session will help you structure your business model with clarity.

You’ll learn how to map out key operations, define your value proposition, and articulate how your business generates impact.

By the end of the session, you’ll have a clearer vision of how your business creates and delivers value to customers and stakeholders.

Your National Insurance (NI) number – if you have not yet registered a business

Your Companies House registration number or Unique Taxpayer Reference (UTR) – if you have registered a company with Companies House or are self-employed/sole trader registered with HMRC

Kindly note that we may not be able to admit you to the workshop without this information, so we strongly encourage you to have it ready on the day.

The Generator is a project with two vibrant enterprise hubs, located in St Peter’s Square, on the ground floor of the Town Hall Extension, and in Royal Mills in Ancoats. Our services include workspaces, events and workshops, 1-to-1 business information support, plus access to expert intellectual property and legal advice, and an introduction to our industry-standard business databases.
