Join us at the CAPS Research Network Conference 2026 on Decolonising Pain!

About the conference

We are excited to announce the Critical Approaches to Pain Scholarship (CAPS) Research Network Conference on Decolonising Pain, taking place 24–26 September 2026 at the University of Manchester, UK and online.

The conference brings together an international community of critical pain scholars working to advance equity in chronic pain research, and is co-sponsored with the Social Sciences in Endometriosis Network (SEEN).

Thursday (24 September) will feature an evening in-person reception, with the main conference days taking place on Friday and Saturday (25–26 September). Please note that the Thursday evening reception is open to in-person attendees only and has limited capacity. If you would like to reserve your spot at the reception, you can do so via the order form while purchasing your ticket.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at £50 for researchers, clinicians, and academic staff, and £25 (concessionary) for students, early career researchers, people with lived experience, community contributors, and those based in the Global South.

Please note that purchases are not made via Eventbrite: this form simply registers your interest, and we will be in touch to redirect you to the University of Manchester eStore to purchase your ticket.

If you're an Early Career Researcher (or a person with lived experience, clinician, artist, or community contributor) interested in submitting a proposal for the CAPS Research Network Conference 2026 on Decolonising Pain, we'd love to hear from you.
