Carbon Literacy training provides organisations with an awareness of the climate-related costs and impacts of their activities and the ability and motivation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. DATE October 7 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM BST (UK Time) What’s on offer? Carbon Literate individuals understand how climate change will affect them, both geographically and locally. The aims of the course are: To gain an understanding of the different greenhouse gases, where they come from and the impact they are having on our climate. To acquire a sense of urgency about the climate emergency. To know how you can reduce your carbon footprint. To understand your role in your company’s Carbon Reduction Plan and journey to Net Zero. This course requires attendees to carry out tasks before attending the online course. These tasks take less than 30 minutes in advance of the training. For certification, attendees are required to complete an online assessment form following the course. Completion Time: The assessment takes approximately one hour to complete. Deadline: You will have one week from the course date to submit your assessment. Content: This process, including the assessment's format and content, will be fully covered and explained during the training session. The completed assessment will be formally reviewed by the Carbon Literacy Project, which holds the authority to determine and grant the final certification outcomes.
