Creative Wellbeing Workshop: Introducing Therapeutic Arts with paint and pastels
Friday 25 September 2026 13:30 - 16:00
About the event
Therapeutic Arts offer a dynamic approach, working with a range of art forms. These encourage expression of our inner world without depending on words. They can enable a shift in focus and ways forward. Being creative is healing in itself and here we explore, with curiosity, how to use the arts more deeply.
This experiential workshop is the second of three, and will introduce this approach working with paint and pastels through guided activities. Each workshop is complete in itself so you are welcome to come to one or both of these.
The third workshop will be:
Friday 13th November 1.30 - 4pm Didsbury Parsonage M20 2RQ: clay and collage (see link below)
These are introductory workshops rather than formal Art Therapy group sessions. No artistic or therapy experience necessary, just a willingness to be curious, have a go and explore.
The workshops are facilitated by Steffie's Arts Space. Steffie is a Therapeutic Arts Practitioner, outdoor therapist and experienced workshop facilitator.
Here's some feedback from a previous participant: ‘Safe reflective space, eye opening, heart-warming’.
Is this workshop for me?
If you are interested in personal development, and are curious about how the arts can be used to explore ourselves creatively, you will hopefully find these workshops enjoyable and meaningful. All those age 16 + welcome.
