Celebrate Chuseok (Korea’s harvest festival) by creating your very own Cheongsachorong, a traditional Korean lantern traditionally made with vibrant red and blue silk.Join us for a cosy afternoon of Korean culture, craft and creativity, where you’ll learn about the story and tradition behind the lantern before making your own, step by step.No previous craft experience is needed. Meet Your Workshop Leader Hyekyung Choi | Designer · Cultural Educator · Craft Facilitator For the first time in Manchester, Hyekyung is bringing her Korean craft workshop to Horangi.Hyekyung creates hands-on learning experiences that bring traditional Korean culture and craft to life. She holds an MA in Art & Design in Education from UCL and has developed creative programmes for educational institutions across the UK.She currently collaborates with the Korean Cultural Centre UK on K-Creative sessions and has also delivered cultural programmes and workshops with the British Museum in London.A special opportunity to learn Korean craft from an experienced cultural educator. Right here in Manchester. 📍 Event Details Sunday 27 September 2026 3:30pm – 5:30pm The Bungalow, Kampus, Manchester - 🎟️ Limited slots available - Please arrive 15 minutes early - No previous craft experience required. With only limited places available, this is a small-group workshop designed to give everyone plenty of time to make and learn.
