In our November session, we’ll discuss a selection of short horror stories

The Library of the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester invites you to join our Spanish Reading Group!

This is a wonderful opportunity for learners of Spanish to explore Hispanic literature in a friendly and welcoming environment tailored to their level.

For the November session, we invite you to explore different visions of horror and fantasy through the works of three Latin American authors, María Fernanda Ampuero (Ecuador, 1976), Liliana Colanzi (Bolivia, 1981), and Amparo Dávila (México, 1928-2020), as well as the Galician writer Álvaro Cunqueiro (Spain, 1911-1981).

The reading group is led by Luz Comendador (librarian), with academic support from Ana Valbuena (teacher at the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester).

Suitable for intermediate students at B2+

Participants will receive the texts from our library so they can read them in advance.
