walks + words invite you to get out into nature (walks) and spend some time on your writing (words) in a monthly event hosted by Rachael (Of Friends) and Bea (Beatrice Cross PR).

Whether you are writing your first novel or your shopping list, this is a chance for you to stretch your legs and your imagination with like-minded people who want to have some time away from screens, be astonished by nature and have a dedicated 90 minutes of uninterrupted writing time.

Every third Wednesday or Thursday of the month, we will meet at Fold Bistro before setting off for an hour's (easy) walk around the Marple Bridge area before heading back to Fold to sit down for a guided writing session.

You don't need to be writing a novel to come along and write with us, whether you're journaling or substacking, writing poetry or letters to friends, all words are welcome <3walks + words is an evolving programme and we're hoping that as the months and seasons roll on there will be opportunities to welcome guest speakers, attend events and enjoy nature and writing in a myriad of different ways, but for now we are keeping things simple; walks and words.

Of_Friends is a space for women to gather. Home to our community wardrobe and small, thoughtful experiences designed to spark creativity, encourage off-screen conversations and bring strangers together.
