About This Event

Hallowtide Half Term Activities are a recurring series of outdoor events taking place at Hardwick in Chesterfield, featuring Elizabethan themes and spooky games such as witch hat hoopla and traditional apple games. Visitors can enjoy family adventures in the Stableyard and Fruiting Orchard while following Old Mal's tale of Apple Jack. Admission is required for access to these activities, with wider estate fees applying to non-members at £6.00 for adults and £3.00 for children.

Play is back at Hardwick with the Elizabethan themes of Hallowtide weaved through the half term activities along with some spooky editions such as witches hat hoopla, broomstick barefoot walk, traditional apple games, and so much more!

There’s plenty of fun to be had in the Stableyard and a cosy hot chocolate and refreshments are just a stone’s throw away.

If you choose to purchase a House and Gardens ticket, enjoy a quieter family adventure in the Fruiting Orchard and follow Old Mal's tale of Apple Jack.

For non-members of the National Trust, or visitors without a general admission ticket to the House and Gardens, the Wider Estate admission fees apply:

• Adult: £6.00

• Child: £3.00

• Family (2 adults, 2 children): £15.00

• Family (1 adult, 2 children): £9.00
