Monthly poetry & creative writing group. A relaxed, welcoming space to write, share ideas, meet fellow creatives and explore your voice.

Join us for a relaxed and welcoming monthly poetry and creative writing group in the heart of Ashfield.

This group was born from a simple conversation about the lack of creative spaces outside the city and a desire to bring writers, poets and curious creatives together locally. Since then, we've connected with talented people across the area, attended workshops and open mics, and discovered just how much creativity exists right on our doorstep.

Whether you write poetry, short stories, memoir, spoken word, journalling, or you're simply curious about putting pen to paper, you're warmly invited.

These sessions are designed to be informal, friendly and accessible. There'll be opportunities to explore writing prompts, develop ideas, connect with other creative people and, if you'd like to, share your work in a supportive environment.

You don't need to be a published writer, an experienced poet, or even consider yourself "good" at writing. Just bring an open mind and a willingness to have a go.

Creative expression can be joyful, thought-provoking, healing and empowering. Most importantly, it connects us with ourselves and each other.

What to expect:

A welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
