Leaving school? Have a Plan B

If you're planning to apply for an apprenticeship after leaving school, we strongly recommend applying for a full-time college course as well.

Why? Apprenticeship vacancies are advertised throughout the year and depend on employer recruitment needs. While many students successfully secure an apprenticeship before September, others receive offers later in the year.

Applying for a college course gives you a guaranteed backup option, allowing you to continue your education while remaining free to accept an apprenticeship if the right opportunity becomes available.

Our team can explain how this works and help you choose a suitable course, giving you confidence that you'll have a positive next step whatever happens.
