This concert is dedicated to the memory of Nick Audley (1977-2026) and a collection will be made for Great Ormond Street Hospital and St Thomas's Hospital, London.

Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem is one of the best-loved settings of the Requiem Mass. Drawing on the timeless beauty of Gregorian chant, it offers music of extraordinary warmth, serenity and hope, bringing comfort rather than drama in a deeply moving meditation on peace and eternal rest.

Benjamin Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb is a joyful and imaginative work, setting the remarkable words of the eighteenth-century poet Christopher Smart. By turns exuberant, humorous and deeply reflective, it celebrates the wonder of creation through music of colour, energy and tenderness.

Thanet Chamber Choir is one of East Kent’s leading chamber choirs, performing a wide-ranging repertoire from the Renaissance to the present day. Renowned for its expressive singing and welcoming atmosphere, the choir brings together experienced singers from across the region to share the richness and beauty of choral music.

The concert takes place in the beautiful setting of St Mary the Virgin Church, Minster, one of Kent’s most historic churches. Its wonderful acoustics provide the perfect setting for these two remarkable works.
