World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker brings his beloved podcast to life in his beloved Margate with a different special guest each month.
Hey friends.
Now that I have got a pesky book tour out of the way I'm coming home for one last hurrah to close off the season!
Each month a different guest joins World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker and we share something old, something new, Something Borrowed, and something blue. Sometimes poems, sometimes music, always a good time.
We are well and truly bedded in in our new home which has had a glow up over the summer, and what better way to finish the season than returning to ARK Cliftonville with Special Guest David Larbi!
As well as some chat and performance from me and David, there will be an open mic where you are welcome to come and perform a poem or song (either your own or Something Borrowed (!)
Harry Baker is the World Poetry Slam Champion and champion of the people. His TED Talks have been watched by millions of people and translated into over 20 different languages. He has three books published with Burning Eye and his newest collection, Tender, is out in March 2026 that we will be touring to anywhere that will have him. He loves Margate and bangs on about it so much in his poems someone thought he was Margate Poet Laureate. He didn't correct them.
David Larbi is a writer, creator and poet from London. Through his experimentation with diverse platforms and forms of expression, he has built an online community of over 1 million people across social media platforms and a dedicated readership, all based on his explorations of introspection and emotional connection.
David’s first book Frequently Happy is a Sunday Times Bestseller, and was selected as a Waterstones Nonfiction Book of the Month in February 2026. He was also named Heathrow Airport’s first ever Poet-in-Residence in celebration of the airport’s 80th birthday this year. Superseding all is his deep love for words, and his desire for anyone who comes across his work to leave feeling better for it.
ARK Cliftonville is Former Synagogue turned cultural space and graciously welcomed us when we needed to find a space bigger than Forts, and now we love it so much they are never getting rid of us.
You are wonderful and if you've read this far you are absolutely my kind of person, so I would love to see you there. As with all my shows there is an option for a free ticket if you can't afford to pay for one in this moment, no questions asked. Please book in advance to settle my nerves about whether anyone will turn up (they always do!) x
