The Principles of Investing – Is it Really a Good Idea? is a free event hosted by Kirsty at The Powell Bar & Restaurant in Margate on September 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM. Kirsty will be discussing the principles of investing, helping attendees better understand savings, investments and pensions.
Kirsty Cribbens originally qualified as a regulated financial adviser in 1999, spending much of her career working within bancassurance before taking time out to focus on family life.
In 2012, Kirsty took her career in a completely different direction when she purchased and ran a small coffee shop, giving her first-hand experience of the realities and challenges of running a small business. In 2019, she returned to financial advice on a self-employed basis and now specialises in Long Term Care, whilst continuing to advise across all areas of financial planning.
Kirsty will be discussing the principles of investing, helping women in business better understand savings, investments and pensions.
Her talk will explore why so many people choose to invest, what the right approach to investing looks like and address one of the most common concerns people have when considering investing their money: “Will I lose all my money?”
Designed specifically for women business owners, the session promises to be an informative and accessible discussion aimed at helping attendees gain greater confidence and understanding around long-term financial planning, investing and planning for the future while running a business.
