Financial Literacy Workshop - Understanding Your Payslip
A practical, beginner-friendly workshop that takes the mystery out of payday. We go through a payslip line by line, in plain English, so participants can see exactly what they've earned, what's been taken off, and why.
We cover how to read your tax code and what to do if it looks wrong, National Insurance and what those contributions actually pay for, workplace pensions and auto-enrolment, and how student loan repayments work. Along the way we look at how pay is structured in real job offers, hourly rates, overtime and salaries — so the numbers on the payslip make sense in context.
The session runs for approximately 1 hour which includes an open Q&A session.
Led by Leanne of Delegate Accounting CIC, a qualified accountant and bookkeeper with 15+ years' experience, who explains the numbers without the jargon. Participants leave able to check their own payslip with confidence, understand their deductions, and know where to go for help.
