About This Event

The Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency (MVDA) is offering a complimentary minute-taking training course on 12 October 2026, from 6:00 PM at MVDA's premises in Middlesbrough. Designed for both novice and seasoned volunteers, this event aims to improve attendees' skills in effective note-taking during meetings and events. Participants will have the opportunity to network with fellow volunteers from diverse organizations, fostering professional development and collaboration within the local community.

The 2-hour session will equip attendees with the skills and understanding of how to produce minutes that record meetings and decisions, enabling them to support their committee or board to keep track of decisions, reports and attendance. Ruth and John, with their experience in this role, will provide useful tips and practical ideas to simplify the work of the Secretary or Minute Secretary.

Ruth and John will lead the training course, drawing on their experience to share their knowledge and expertise with attendees.
