About This Event

MKTW: App Kitchen (Vibe Coding with Lovable) will be held on 12 October 2026 at NatWest Accelerator MK. Participants can receive free AI credits and work on their ideas in under an hour. The event is free to attend.

Vibe Coding Sprint with Lovable. Get free AI credits, bring an idea, and start building what you want - in under an hour.

Hosted by NatWest Accelerator at MK:U | Sponsored by Lovable | Fringe Event for Milton Keynes Tech Week 2026. Start building what you want in 60 minutes. No coding background needed.

The App Kitchen is a Milton Keynes Tech Week fringe event where you get hands-on with the same AI tools modern founders, product teams, and growing businesses use to ship software fast. "Vibe coding" just means describing what you want in plain English and letting AI handle the code - it's a legitimate way to build, not a shortcut around real skill.

This is a focused, hands-on build sprint where you bring the idea, and we provide the space, credits, and guidance. Whether you want to prototype a product for your business, map out an internal cross-departmental dashboard, or experiment with a personal project, you'll walk away with real momentum and a tangible start. How it works:

Register early: Registration opens at 10:30. Arrive early for set-up and to claim your free lovable credits.

Get set up: Collect your free Lovable AI credits and an optional Prompt Recipe card - a simple framework for turning an idea into clear instructions an AI can build from.

Build: Spend 35 focused minutes bringing your idea to life using our suggested framework or your own preferred workflow.

Show & tell (optional): Demo your live URL or progress to the room.

No long keynotes, no slides to sit through - just the tools, the space, and dedicated time to build.

What to Bring:

A fully charged laptop and charger

Your Hosts:

Sean Lord – Host & Organiser, The App Kitchen

Sean Lord has more than 20 years' experience in technology sales and marketing, and he has lived and worked in Hong Kong, the USA, Sweden and the UK. His career covers cybersecurity, telecoms and SaaS. He has worked for a Tier 1 American network provider, Israeli cybersecurity companies, and Indian and Singaporean anti-DDoS specialists. Across those roles he has turned complex technical products into compelling stories, partner programmes and pipelines in markets around the world.

Sean now combines that enterprise experience with a builder's toolkit. He uses AI and no-code platforms such as Lovable to build working apps and GTM tools, and he helps founders and start-ups do the same. He supports them in moving quickly from idea to working prototype, then thinking through how it fits with real systems, customers and a route to market.

Sean founded Vibe Coding MK, a practical meetup where founders, SME owners, professionals and first-time builders turn ideas into working prototypes in a single evening. He brings that same hands-on approach to MK Tech Week as host and organiser of The App Kitchen. On 12 October at MK:U he hosts the Lovable session, with on-site registration from 10:30 and the build starting at 11:00. No coding background is needed. Bring one idea and leave with something real.

Francisco Opazo – Sector Expert, No Code Tools

Francisco Opazo leads community and growth across EMEA for Softr, the AI app builder for enterprise. Softr lets teams turn their data and workflows into secure business apps, client portals and internal tools without writing code. From London, Francisco runs Softr's meetups, hackathons and hands-on workshops across the region, and he is growing the Softr Ambassador programme, which helps local builders teach and connect their own communities. His recent sessions include a Claude x Softr workshop in Barcelona. Participants there, most of them new to the platform, built working solutions to real business problems in under an hour.

Francisco has more than 14 years' experience in digital marketing and growth, much of it helping tech brands scale through online communities. He is the founder of Led by Community, a global network for community professionals. It runs London, Lisbon and Toronto Community Week and draws more than 8,000 RSVPs a year across its conferences, chapters and events. He is also a UK Ambassador for Canva, Gamma and ElevenLabs, running workshops and hackathons that help founders and builders get real value from AI tools.
