The Sue Ryder Big Dip Bedford, is a cold water winter challenge raising vital funds for Sue Ryder's end-of-life care and grief support.

Take the plunge

On Sunday 6th December you are invited to take the Sue Ryder Big Dip Bedford cold plunge, to help raise vital funds for Sue Ryder.

The Sue Ryder Big Dip Bedford, which is open to anyone 18 and over, will take place at the Woburn Lido in Bedfordshire. Registration will open at 10.30am, giving people a chance to prepare before the first dip session at 11am.

Swimmers can choose from six dip sessions and will be given a maximum of 30 minutes in the pool.

Help us make sure no one has to face death or grief alone

Brrrrave swimmers can enjoy up to 30 minutes in the water, as well as festive music and warm refreshments for all.

Taking part in The Sue Ryder Big Dip Bedford, we challenge you or your team to raise at least £60 to help make sure that everyone approaching the end-of-life or living with grief can access the support they need.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help us to be there when it matters for the people we care for and their families.

Fundraise via JustGiving

To help support our care and raise vital funds, you can set up your JustGiving fundraising page (https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/bigdipbedford26). It's quick, easy to share and you can keep track of how much you've raised.

Cold water swimming

Cold water swimming can be fun and exhilarating, but it’s also important that people are fit and well to take part, so we urge people to read up about cold water swimming from the Woburn Lido (https://woburnlido.weebly.com/swimming.html).
