An evening of world-class traditional music with Macdara Ó Faoláin, Victoria Adiiye and Dave Munnelly.

Macdara Ó’Faoláin, TG4 Young Musician of the Year 2024, comes from a musical family in An Rinn, County Waterford. He started learning the tin whistle and the fiddle at the age of 5. After becoming mesmerized with the music of Andy Irvine and Planxty, he quickly progressed on to the mandolin under the instruction of Peter O'Connor. Macdara has recorded and performed with musicians such as Páraic MacDonnchadha (on his album "Not Before Time"), Derek Hickey, Shane Meehan (on his album "Twill Do"), Caoimhín and Seán Ó Fearghail, Paddy Tutty, Oisín Morrison, John Dwyer, The Friel Sisters and Marty Barry, Conor O'Sullivan (on his album “Going Over Home”), Victoria Pierce, Éamonn O'Riordan, Cormac Begley, Claire Egan, Yvonne Casey, Tommy Fitzharris and Dónal McCague, Nell Ní Chróinín, Cliodhna Costello, Liam O'Brien, Ciara Ní Bhrian, Sorcha Costello, Conor Connolly, Catherine McHugh, and many more. He is also a maker of handcrafted bouzoukis, mandolins and guitars, which he plays himself.

Victoria Adiiye was raised in Uganda in East Africa. She started playing traditional Ugandan music and classical guitar before hearing recordings of Irish music. As a child, she frequently played in the National Concert Hall in Kampala with her sisters and with the Kampala Symphony Orchestra. She now lives in An Rinn, Co. Waterford where she performs most frequently with her husband, Macdara Ó Faoláin. Victoria has performed at festivals in Ireland, Minnesota, Europe & Canada. Her musical and cultural background has led to her unique style as a singer, solo guitarist and banjo player.

Dave Munnelly is widely regarded as one of the most influential Irish accordion players of his generation, a Mayo native—affectionately dubbed "The Bullet from Belmullet"—brings an explosive blend of raw tradition and sophisticated modern energy to the stage. Growing up in a deeply musical family, his signature style flawlessly bridges the past and the present, drawing inspiration from his grandmother’s melodeon playing and the swing of the 1920s Flanagan Brothers. Having toured the globe with legendary ensembles like The Chieftains and De Danann, and fronted his own internationally acclaimed band, Munnelly is a master of musical evolution. Whether pushing boundaries with the pan-European Accordion Samurai or channeling pure, unfiltered traditional roots in his latest collaboration OLD SCHOOL (with Mick Conneely and Caitríona Ní Cheannabháin), his performances are a masterclass in fiery ornamentation, complex chordal arrangements, and breathtaking showmanship. Expect a thrilling musical journey that respects heritage while boldly redefining the box.
