Exploring funding for immersive projects, sharing XR updates, and connecting with the North East community.

Join to explore how companies add virtual reality into their work, funding opportunities, to share and talk over various XR updates, and connecting with the North East community.

North East XR Meetups are for anyone interested in immersive technologies, from experienced practitioners to those just beginning to explore the field. Our meetups bring together a diverse mix of developers, artists, researchers, students, freelancers, educators, creative technologists, and industry professionals from across the region. Whether you're actively building immersive experiences or are simply curious about the field, you'll find opportunities to learn, connect, and get inspired.

As always, the first half of the meetup will be dedicated to the keynote and 2-5 quick community updates. These short presentations are a chance to share recent work, discuss challenges, showcase research, celebrate achievements, or simply let the community know what you're currently working on.

The second half of the evening is all about networking, chats, and connecting with fellow XR practitioners in a relaxed environment while nibbling on some pizza.

We look forward to seeing you.

Project Updates: Do you have a project update, a recent discovery, a challenge you'd like feedback on, or a funding experience worth sharing? If you'd like to contribute a short community update or add something to the evening's theme, please get in touch with one of the event curators: Liza, Liza.Kukovska@sunderlandsoftwarecity.com
