About This Event

An introduction to the technique of risograph printing, where you will make your own riso stencil cut outs and turn them into riso prints Risograph is a printing process that has its origins in stencil printing, so this session will be combining these two techniques. We will be making stencil cut outs to create the artwork then turning them into prints using the risograph printer. Everyone will leave with a healthy handful of risograph prints All abilities welcome, from absolute beginner to full time pro, all are welcome. 🎨 Materials All materials will be provided. 📖 About Overlay Press Overlay Press is a DIY small press and creative print studio based in Newcastle upon Tyne, established in 2021. They specialise in bespoke printing, bookmarking and design-led problem solving, collaborating closely with artists, designers and community groups to bring bold thoughtful ideas to life in print. Overlay Press is run by Erika Tyson-Green, Oliver Hoffmeister and George Stewart. ♿ Access information Slugtown is a ground floor unit with step-free access, and wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately we do not have an accessible toilet. 🅿️ Parking There is paid parking available at Stoddart House car park round the back of the gallery.
