North East XR Meetups are for anyone interested in immersive technologies, from experienced practitioners to those just beginning to explore the field. Our meetups bring together a diverse mix of developers, artists, researchers, students, freelancers, educators, creative technologists, and industry professionals from across the region. Whether you're actively building immersive experiences or are simply curious about the field, you'll find opportunities to learn, connect, and get inspired.

This fourth event in the series will focus on a topic that affects almost every XR project at some stage: funding. During this Autumn evening, we'll look together for various funding opportunities available to immersive projects, and where to look for support. We'll also share a few lessons learned from projects that have successfully secured backing.

As always, the first half of the meetup will be dedicated to the keynote and 2-5 quick community updates. These short presentations are a chance to share recent work, discuss challenges, showcase research, celebrate achievements, or simply let the community know what you're currently working on.

The second half of the evening is all about networking, chats, and connecting with fellow XR practitioners in a relaxed environment while nibbling on some pizza.
