Climb aboard The Canny Lass, Newcastle’s newest visitor attraction, as part of NE1’s Quayside Carnival.

Family-friendly sailings will run throughout the day, giving passengers a fantastic opportunity to see Newcastle’s iconic Quayside from the water and enjoy a taste of this exciting new visitor experience.

Our free taster cruises are a special addition to this year’s Carnival, but the adventure doesn’t end there. Missed out on tickets or want the full Tyne Cruises experience? The team will launch its regular programme from August, with a range of daytime and evening cruises, special events and private-hire experiences departing from the heart of the city throughout the year. If you don’t manage to climb aboard during the Carnival – or simply want to experience more of the Tyne – tickets can be booked at tynecruises.com.

Important passenger information

All passengers must have a ticket (babies also need a ticket as they count towards passenger numebrs).

All passengers must arrive at Newcastle City Marina 30 minutes before their departure time. This will allow plenty of time to check in, complete any pre-departure requirements and safely store buggies before boarding.

A dedicated buggy park will be located to the right of the marina as you face it. We ask passengers to leave buggies here, helping to keep the marina access clear and ensure boarding and disembarkation run as smoothly and safely as possible throughout this busy event.

Please note that photography and videography will take place at this event for reporting, marketing and promotional purposes. Images and footage may be used on our website and social media, as well as in partner reports, press releases, printed publications, email marketing, advertising, films, posters, banners and future event promotions.
