About This Event

The Creative Talent Programme: Make Your Own Mag Cover workshop invites participants to create their own magazine cover using various print techniques. This hands-on session encourages creativity and exploration of magazine concepts. The workshop is free to attend.

What if you could create your own dream magazine cover? Explore print, gather inspiration and bring ideas to life in this creative workshop.

Join us at The Mag Studio (https://www.themagazineclub.co.uk/the-mag-studio/?utm_source=chatgpt.com) for the first Makes session of our Creative Talent Programme, where we’ll get hands-on with print, explore analogue creativity and bring our ideas to life.

The cover of a magazine is what first draws you in, encouraging you to pick it up, flick through and discover what's inside. But what if you could create your own?

In this hands-on Make, we'll play around with magazine concepts, from choosing a name and theme to exploring ideas for your very own publication. Then, using existing printed magazines, we'll rip, cut, collage and draw to create a first draft of your magazine cover, right on the front of your scrapbook!

Taking inspiration from our morning session, Creating a Magazine: From Idea to Print, and the 2,000+ magazines in The Mag Room, (https://www.themagazineclub.co.uk/the-mag-room/) you'll have the freedom to experiment. Maybe it's a subject you're passionate about, a magazine you love or something you've always wanted to see in print.

We'll be keeping things analogue, stepping away from screens and using print and imagination to bring our ideas to life.

There's no pressure to create a perfect cover. It's all about playing with ideas, experimenting with print and seeing what you come up with!

Your scrapbook is yours to take home, ready to fill with even more inspiration.
