Join us for a relaxed, hands-on evening as you explore pages of print that catch your eye, transforming them into your very own zine to take home.

Hosted inThe Mag Studio (https://www.themagazineclub.co.uk/themagstudio/), our in-house creative space withinUnique Magazines (https://www.uniquemagazines.co.uk/), this workshop invites you to slow down, switch off and spend time creating something inspired by print.

During the session, Sharon will show you how to fold and create your own simple zine, before using your chosen magazine pages to fill, decorate and make it completely your own.

Sharon from Lost Letters Found

Lost Letters Found (https://www.instagram.com/lost.lettersfound/)is a passion project that began after more than 20 years of teaching and encouraging others to be creative, when Sharon found her way back to her own creative practice and rediscovered a love of making and connecting with others.

During a period of illness, she began cutting letters and words from old magazines and creating small collages. It was a simple process that gave her purpose and something to focus on, gradually helping her regain confidence and hope.

She now documents this journey on social media, sharing her love of cutting and creating alongside raw, honest and interesting conversations that make you feel like you're right there in the room with her.

Those lost letters became the starting point for experimenting with paper, words, handwriting, collage and so much more.

What began as something just for Sharon has gradually grown into workshops she calls Paper, Pause & Play – a creative practice centred around calm, curiosity, play and connection, while giving discarded and everyday materials a new purpose.

At its heart, it's about giving people a little space to slow down, use their hands, connect with others and simply create, while exploring how making together can support our wellbeing.

This workshop is part of The Mag Studio Makes, our monthly creative series held on the last Thursday of every month.

Each session explores a different creative theme, inspired by the pages of carefully curated magazines.

For this session, you won't need to bring the scrapbook you usually use at our Makes. This month, the magazines will instead be used to create your zine from scratch.
