About This Event

Join us for a special programme of monthly birding events from July to October, held on selected Saturdays at Cherryburn. Each session begins with an engaging workshop, talk, or demonstration, followed by two hours of exclusive access to the garden while it is closed to the public. Session four is the shorebirds of Long Nanny Join Northumberland Coast Ranger James Porteus for an engaging talk exploring the remarkable birdlife of the Northumberland coast. Drawing on his first-hand experience caring for the Long Nanny reserve, James will share insights into these fascinating shorebirds and the work that helps to protect them. Set within our museum, this talk offers a chance to learn more about coastal wildlife while surrounded by Bewick’s celebrated engravings of the natural world. After the talk, enjoy exclusive access to the garden.
