A movement, not a meet up! A place for curious business people to connect, collaborate and challenge business as usual.

Small AI, Big Gains

Everyone’s talking about the AI gold rush: billion-pound infrastructure projects, the next big idea, the race to build the future. This isn’t that.

This month we’re talking about small AI. The everyday tools already in your business. On your laptop, on your mobile, integrated into your business apps. These can help your business work smarter, better, faster. And you can start right now.

Writing the same email for the tenth time. Chasing invoices. Turning meeting notes into actions. Making sense of a messy spreadsheet. Most small businesses lose hours every day to jobs like these, and many of them can now be handled in minutes.

Think of it as marginal gains.

Dave Brailsford transformed British cycling by improving hundreds of small things by 1%. Small AI works the same way: one task at a time, one saved hour at a time. Compounding over a year, those hours add up to real time back for you, for strategy, for the work that grows your business, and for your wellbeing.

So don’t get caught up in the great AI gold rush. Don’t chase the shiny stuff and follow a ‘get-rich-quick’ playbook. Think small. Pick up the everyday AI tools you already have and start prospecting for growth today, 1% at a time.

Remember, in the great gold rush the shovel sellers got rich, not the prospectors.

So skip the AI gold rush and grab a tool instead.

About Curious Community

Curious Community is where founders, leaders and doers gather in the pursuit of building better businesses, stronger economies and fairer communities - powered by people, driven by purpose and rooted in place.

It’s for those who don’t have all the answers but are prepared to question the ones we have. The critical thinkers challenging the status quo and the ‘it’s always been done this way’ brigade. The counter consensus crowd who are curious enough to think differently and find a better way.

It’s for those who believe that growth isn’t just linear — a straight line up to the right. But that it’s also about depth — going deeper into your craft, your culture, your people and your community.

So join the movement and be part of the curious conversations. Because we believe that where curiosity leads, opportunity follows.

We know curious ends in ‘us’. But it also starts with us!
