Harvest Celebration

Join us for a community celebration of the harvest!

This free community event is a wonderful chance to learn practical skills, discover traditional techniques, and enjoy the abundance of the season.

Throughout the event, there will be hands-on demonstrations and opportunities to learn about:

🍎 Apple pressing – discover how to turn your apples into delicious juice

🍓 Jam & chutney making – learn ways to preserve your seasonal produce

🥕 Food fermentation & dehydration – explore simple ways to preserve food

🌱 Seed saving – learn how to save seeds for future growing

🐝 Gwent Beekeepers – visit their stand and find out more about bees and beekeeping

There will also be refreshments, a plant sale, seed-saving resources, and delicious harvest tasters, including a selection of homemade cakes made from fruit and vegetables you can grow right here in Wales.

This is a free event, but booking a ticket helps our volunteers understand the numbers we might expect on the day.

Co-hosted by Root for Our Future & Llanfrechfa Grange Walled Garden, with Gwent Beekeepers joining us with a stall.
