A calm and nourishing four-hour workshop where you can slow down, explore your creativity and make a beautiful wooden mandala engraved with words that hold meaning for you.

Guided by artist Amber Stefani, this workshop is suitable for complete beginners. No artistic experience is needed, and all materials will be provided.

All creative materials ~ colours, imitation gold leaf, Indian gold ink, and everything needed to complete your artwork

Your personalised wooden mandala ~ laser-cut and engraved in advance with your chosen name, words or short phrase

Gentle, step-by-step guidance ~ allowing you to explore the process confidently and at your own pace

Your completed artwork ~a one-of-a-kind mandala to take home and display

Your finished mandala will measure 29 cm in diameter. It is lightweight and comes with a stand, allowing you to display it on a surface or hang it on a wall.

Choosing Your Sacred Words

Before the workshop, you’ll be invited to choose a few words or a short phrase that feels meaningful to you at this point in your life. Your chosen words will be laser-engraved into the inner ring of your mandala before the workshop.

You might choose something you wish to welcome into your life, something you want to remember, or words that reflect the energy you would like to carry forward. There is no right or wrong choice—only what feels true to you.

Your mandala can also be personalised with your name, the name of someone close to your heart, or several names representing your family or friendship circle.

Amber will contact you personally within 24 hours of booking to discuss and confirm your engraving. Please check all spelling carefully before approving your chosen words.

What to Expect on the Day

Please arrive at Sunfyr Barns at 10:20am, ready for the workshop to begin at 10:30am.

Your personalised mandala and creative materials will be prepared and waiting for you. After a warm welcome and complimentary drink, Amber will guide you through each stage of adding colour, gold leaf and fine decorative details.

There is no pressure and no wrong way to approach the process. You’ll be encouraged to follow your own colour choices and creative instincts while receiving plenty of guidance and support.

We’ll pause for cake halfway through the session before continuing with the final layers and finishing touches. The workshop will finish at approximately 2:30pm.

Children and Families

Children aged nine and over are warmly invited to participate when accompanied by an adult. Children must remain under the supervision of their accompanying adult throughout the workshop.

About the Artist

Amber Stefani is a self-taught artist inspired by sacred geometry, mandalas and yoga. Her creative journey has evolved into designing sculptural lighting that encourages calm, presence and reflection, with her work now displayed in meditation spaces and homes around the world.

This workshop is a return to the heart of drawing and making—sharing creativity in a calm, nourishing and meaningful way.
