A discussion led workshop for social enterprise leaders to explore the practical and ethical impacts and opportunities of AI

AI is already in your organisation, whether you approved it or not. The question is no longer what is it, but how do we use it well, and where should we refuse?

This is a leadership workshop, not a tech demo. No jargon, no product pitch, no assumption that anyone in the room needs to understand how the technology works. Instead, three hours of honest, practical discussion about the decisions that sit with you: what AI can genuinely take off your hands, what must stay human, and how to put proportionate guardrails in place without drowning your team in policy.

We'll cover the quiet costs that never appear in a product demo, data, accuracy, environmental impact, workplace anxiety, and equity, and why the last two are where the sector will be judged.

Half the value is in the room, not at the front. Expect to talk, challenge, and leave with something written down. You'll go home with a one-page AI policy drafted in your own words, and one commitment you've said out loud!

You’ll walk away with:

A decision-making method: the PROVEN framework, which starts with the problem, never the tool. Most organisations get this backwards.

Clarity on where AI genuinely helps: structure, first drafts, checking and repetition and the four things it cannot touch: your voice, your judgement, your relationships and your values.

A working definition of 'proportionate': a simple three-tier model for low, medium and high-stakes tasks, so the control always matches the risk.

Four questions to test any tool, any task, any Monday: covering trust, accuracy, data and value. If a task fails one, it doesn't go near AI.

A drafted one-page AI policy: six lines covering what you use it for, what you never put in, who checks it, what you tell your people, which tools are approved, and when you review it.

An honest view of the quiet costs: data exposure, unchecked accuracy, environmental impact, workforce confidence and equity.

One committed action: a single decision, named out loud, captured and shared within five working days.
