A textile printing workshop with Clare Wood

Spend a wonderfully creative few hours exploring the colour, pattern and satisfying process of Indian block printing with designer and maker Clare Wood.

In this relaxed, hands-on workshop, Clare will introduce you to the art of printing onto fabric using a beautiful collection of carved printing blocks and textile paints.

You'll explore how different blocks, colours and patterns work together before creating your own printed textile piece to take home.

Clare will demonstrate the basic techniques and guide you through the process, from applying the paint and positioning your blocks to building repeat patterns and creating a design that feels completely your own.

Choose from a selection of textile blanks including:

tote bag

tea towel

zip pouch

This is a relaxed workshop suitable for complete beginners — you don't need any previous printing experience, just come along ready to experiment with colour and pattern.

All materials and your chosen textile blank are included.

Refreshments will be available throughout the workshop.

About Clare

Clare Wood is a multidisciplinary designer working across interiors, textiles, floristry and creative styling. Originally trained in Surface Pattern and Textile Design, her wonderfully varied career has taken her from floristry and large-scale installations to colourful hotel interiors, hospitality concepts and residential design.

Her work is united by a love of colour, pattern, playful details and creating things and spaces with personality.
