About This Event

Participants can create one-of-a-kind earrings using reclaimed and repurposed materials during a sustainable jewellery making workshop on 14 November 2026 at 19 St Benedicts St in Norwich. The event costs £40.00.

Create beautiful, one-of-a-kind earrings using reclaimed and repurposed materials.

Join us for a wonderfully creative afternoon of sustainable jewellery making with Deborah of re.creart, as part of Danielle Neale’s November residency at The Old Piano Shop in Norwich.

Discover how discarded tins, vintage finds and everyday materials can be transformed into beautiful, colourful and completely individual pieces of wearable art.

About the workshop

During this relaxed, hands-on workshop, Deborah will introduce you to the art of creating jewellery from repurposed tin and reclaimed materials.

You’ll explore different shapes, colours, textures and combinations, learning how to work with the materials and assemble your own unique designs.

With Deborah’s guidance, you’ll have the opportunity to experiment, play with colour and discover the creative possibilities hiding in things we might otherwise throw away.

You’ll usually create two pairs of beautiful, handmade earrings to take home — perfect for keeping, gifting or perhaps a little of both!

No previous jewellery-making experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity, enthusiasm and a willingness to get creative.

Meet your tutor – Deborah of re.creart

Deborah’s creative journey is wonderfully colourful.

Growing up in London during the punk era of the 1980s, she developed an early appreciation for individuality, resourcefulness and making something extraordinary from the ordinary.

Later, living and working as a photographer in Mexico, she became immersed in the country’s rich traditions of colour, craftsmanship and creativity.

It was there that she discovered how beautifully everyday objects, discarded tins and reclaimed materials could be transformed into vibrant pieces of art.

Today, Deborah brings together those influences through re.creart, creating distinctive jewellery using vintage finds, repurposed metal and materials that deserve another life.

Her workshops celebrate sustainability, creativity and the simple pleasure of making something beautiful with your own hands.
