An all abilities ride from Nottingham City Centre to the Hook nature reserve in Lady Bay
Join us on a gentle and inclusive bike ride from our workshop to Lady Bay via the Hook nature reserve. We will stop for a cuppa at the Bread and Butterflies cafe (our treat!), before returning to the workshop. We welcome women and non-binary folk of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.
This ride will be on quiet roads and traffic-free cycle paths, with some undulating hills. We will go at a very steady pace, with a ride leader guiding the group, and a second guide at the back, so no one will be left behind. The ride will go at the pace of the slowest rider, so is suitable for those that haven't ridden for a while or are still gaining their confidence; we stop for breaks or a snack whenever you want.
You can bring your own bike, or if you need to borrow one, please book the appropriate ticket. If you have any questions, please contact Emily at Women in Tandem: hello@womenintandem.org.uk or 07511502741.
MEETING POINT: Women in Tandem, Chaucer Street, Nottingham, NG1 5LP (click here for directions)
TIME: meet at 12.45, ready to ride at 1pm.
ROUTE: TBC!
You won’t need anything fancy, just comfortable weather-appropriate clothing and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help you to join this ride, or if you have any questions, please get in touch we would love to hear from you.
This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The Cycling UK Big Bike Revival, and they have asked us to securely collect names and emails (as registered on Eventbrite) in order to send you a follow up survey about your cycling habits: let us know if you do not want your email address passed on.
