The People's Hall is the site of Nottingham's most exciting regeneration project. The Nottingham Historic Building Trust is redeveloping this historic building into a new space for the people of Nottingham. Built as a Georgian townhouse for the wealthy Ann Morley in 1750, this building has lived through 276 years of Nottingham's history. It was home to the first Nottingham design school in 1843 and then a civic centre from 1854, when it received its current name. Today the building stands empty, ready for its next chapter which the Nottingham Historic Building Trust will deliver for the city.
Arrival is at 3:30PM for a presentation on the heritage construction techniques required for the building. Attendees will then have a guided tour of the building with time for Q&A.
