In Green Libraries Week, join us for a gentle stroll around the banks of the River Leen by the Bulwell Riverside Centre as we help clean up our environment, enjoy some fresh air and explore a little of the natural world right in the city! We’ll collect some litter and keep the Leen clean and green for everyone to enjoy! This taster session is suitable for all and may become part of a regular series of events in the future.

Please dress for the weather on the day and please wear sturdy footwear, with no open-toed shoes. Some of the areas around this part of the Leen are uneven. Hi-vis, gloves, litter-grabber and purple bags will be provided. The event will only be cancelled in the event of severely bad weather – a little rain won’t stop us! We will be litter-picking in the vicinity of the Riverside Centre Library, subject to the renovation works currently underway. The event will last no longer than one hour. Dogs are welcome on the walk but must be left outside the library.
