Grit Grrrls Ride 25th October
🍂 Attenborough Adventure Loop 🚲
A 43km autumn adventure taking us from riverside gravel trails and quiet country lanes to muddy woodland bridleways, open countryside and plenty of gorgeous views along the way.
We’ll start at Attenborough Nature Reserve, following the river on lovely meandering gravel trails all the way towards Sawley Marina. From there, we’ll leave the river behind for a while and head out onto quiet country lanes, riding through beautiful open fields as we make our way towards Kegworth.
There’s a short section on a busier road here before we’re back onto the fun stuff — bumpy bridleways, muddy trails and proper countryside riding 🌿
From Kegworth we’ll head towards Thrumpton, picking up more bridleways before making our way into Clifton Woods. With the colder, wetter months arriving, there’s a good chance the trails will be a little muddy and wild — so expect a bit of splashing and getting your bike dirty! 😂
We’ll follow the river through the woods and eventually loop back into Attenborough Nature Reserve from the other side.
And because we like a ride with a reward… ☕️🍰
We’ll stop at the Heritage Canal Centre for a well-earned café stop towards the end of the ride, before heading back to the start.

Who is this suitable for?
