With Suzy Ager, a workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches, at the Hobbycraft in Nottingham on 4 October at 2:00pm.

Suitable for those who have never picked up a needle but want to have a go or those who have just started to stitch. A workshop for beginners to learn 3-5 basic stitches whilst embroidering a simple stylish pattern.

A choice of four patterns will be provided. The workshop will provide confidence to continue to explore after the workshop has ended.

To note:

This event is for those aged 16 and over.

Cancellation and refunds given up to 7 days before the event takes place. No refunds will be given for cancellations under 7 days.

Capacity for this workshop is 10 people.

Required Materials

You will be able to take away fabric, threads and a needle to carry on stitching at home.

Equipment used in the workshop such as hoops, maker pens and scissors will be available to purchase afterwards in store.

You may find it useful to bring a pen and paper to make notes.

Your Tutor

Suzy Ager is a textile artist with a Master's in Textile Design. She has a passion for nature and her work aims to reignite connections to the wild through embroidery and print. Suzy’s practice is founded on hand-drawn imagery translated into textiles, through a slow hand-crafted process, which aims to capture both character and movement.

Suzy was selected as a Guild Showcase graduate in 2023 and was featured in the Jan/Feb 2026 issue of Embroidery, the world’s leading textile art magazine .
