Join us at The Reading Room to create a spooky story

Calling all budding storytellers and lovers of the strange and mysterious!

This October half term, join us at The Reading Room for a fun story writing workshop designed especially for children.

Together, we'll create our own creepy characters, mysterious settings and weird ideas. With fun writing prompts and plenty of encouragement, children will be guided through the process of turning their imaginations into a spooky story of their own.

Expect ghosts, monsters, mysterious doors, haunted houses, strange noises and unexpected twists but children get to decide just how spooky they want their stories to be!

No previous writing experience is needed just bring your imagination!

Suitable for: Children aged 8–12

Duration: 1 hour

Parents and carers are welcome to enjoy the bookshop while the workshop takes place.
