Join us for a group lesson for adult women who want to learn to ride from scratch or refresh their skills after a break

A group cycling lesson for adult women and non-binary folk who would like to learn to ride in a traffic free area. The lesson will begin by learning how to safely fit a helmet and adjust the bike to your size. We will then work on learning to balance, and build up to starting to pedal.

Lessons will be weekly during school term times, and you can attend as many as you need. As you build your pedalling confidence, we will begin to introduce other key skills such as using gear, signalling, and observation.

We will work at a pace the group feels comfortable with, aiming to keep us in the stretch zone, not stress zone! Riding will take at our workshop, away from any traffic. This lesson will suit new riders and those who need to refresh their skills after a break.

The lessons will last an hour per week and will be limited to six participants. You can borrow a bike and helmet from us, or bring your own.

This lesson will be led by Emily, a fully qualified Bikeability instructor.

This lesson is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by Travel Well, a Nottingham City Council project that aims to help support people to build activity into their daily lives for lasting healthy changes.
