Start walk at **10.30am** from Ilkeston Train Station. We wait for bus/train in case of late arrival. Walk: Approximately **6 miles**. From Ilkeston Railway Station walk along the Erewash Canal southbound for a mile & then turn west to cross the midland railway footbridge going over the fields through Strelley Village where we will have **lunch at Strelley Hall**. Then back passing the lions to Swingate, Kimberly & Bennerly Viaduct. Walking over the viaduct onto the Erewash Canal & back to Ilkeston. **Leader**: Chris T, **Mob**: 07546834545 **Directions by train:** From Nottingham departure 10:17am arrives Ilkeston 10:29am. From Chesterfield / Alfreton (09:54/10:05 departures respectively) arrives Ilkeston 10:15am. **Directions by car:** Access to car park is off Station Road Ilkeston, very close to the roundabout with the A6096 and Coronation Road. Charges apply: 24hr daily rate £3.00. Off-peak day: £2.20 (from 10:00 to 02:30 Mon-Fri). **Directions by bus:** 27 service, Kimberley-Ilkeston or get the TrentBarton bus the ‘TWO’ from the Victoria Centre, Nottingham, buses every 15 mins, journey time approx. 40 mins. **Important to know:** There are usually 10-15 people on these walks.
