A women's cycle ride from Wollaton 508 Cafe to Cinderhill takes place on 26 August 2026. The free event begins at 18:00 and covers 9 miles. The route follows the national cycle network to the River Leen.
This 9 mile cycle ride for women starts from Wollaton Park and heads out along the national cycle network to the River Leen.
Join us for an evening ride out from Wollaton Park, using the NCN6 to get to Cinderhill where we can view the Sustrans Nottingham Heroes steel sculptures before coming back along the River Leen boardwalk and boulevards. This is around 10 miles of cycle networks, parkland and some back roads, with a little hill thrown in at the start and end!
We welcome women and non-binary folk of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider and stop for breaks whenever you want.
MEETING POINT: Wollaton Park 508 Cafe (next to kids play park) (click here for a google pin.)
TIME: meet at 5:45pm, ready to ride at 6pm.

You’ll be in safe hands, we’re experienced ride leaders who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.
This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.
You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help enable you to join this ride.
