About This Event

Join Paul Heardman and Becky Hall for an insightful online workshop on 25 September 2026, delving into Supervision, Stuckness and Radical Inclusion. This session is designed to illuminate how the powerful methodology of Systemic Constellations can be effectively integrated into the supervisory process. Participants will explore practical applications for addressing persistent challenges that often arise in supervision, such as familiar, unhelpful patterns and the frustrating experience of feeling stuck. The workshop will foster an understanding of how the core principles underpinning Constellations can provide fresh and transformative perspectives on these common supervisory hurdles. Attendees will gain valuable tools and approaches to navigate complexity and unlock new possibilities for both supervisors and supervisees. Tickets for this enriching event are available from just £1.00, offering an accessible opportunity to enhance your supervisory practice.

How principles and practices from Systemic Constellations can enrich and resource the Supervision process.

What is happening when supervision feels stuck?  Why might repeating patterns keep showing up client work?  And what fuels Drama Triangle dynamics?  For example, when a coach, therapist or supervisor shifts from ‘helper’ into ‘rescuer.’

These are all tricky moments in supervision.  By definition, supervisees bring to supervision those topics they’ve not been able to work through themselves.  Often the same ‘stuck’ dynamics may then play out supervision.

One approach which can shed powerful light here is Systemic Constellations.  This method comes from the work of Bert Hellinger.  It provides a somatic and insightful way of looking at human relational systems, and the (often hidden) dynamics and patterns within them.  This offers a different lens, for example, on symptoms.  It suggests these may be a system’s attempt to address imbalances caused by systemic entanglements, hidden loyalties or exclusions.  Systemic Constellations creates a radically inclusive frame, enabling supervisors and supervisees to notice more about what may be happening under the surface.

This event will explore what it means to bring a truly systemic stance as supervisors.  We will discuss the concept of ‘helping’ – including why helping may, sometimes, be much less useful than we realise.  We will look at core ideas from Systemic Constellations and practical ways to apply these in a systemic supervision context.
