An experiential writing workshop for helping professionals.

This is a workshop for practitioners who would like to develop their intrapersonal and interpersonal awareness through writing and reflection, as a means to improve their therapy or coaching practice and as a means of self-care.

Reflective writing has a well established and robust evidence base. Research consistently shows that reflective writing can enhance self understanding, self development and promote well-being. Reflexivity is also an important skill that all practitioners need to develop and these sessions are designed to enable that development through reflective writing.

(“Reflexivity is a skill that we develop as counsellors: an ability to notice our responses to the world around us, other people and events, and to use that knowledge to inform our actions, communications and understandings. To be reflexive we need to be aware of our personal responses and to be able to make choices about how to use them.” K. Etherington)

These sessions focus on personal reflective work rather than traditional case supervision. Through guided writing, you will explore your internal responses, deepen reflexivity, and develop insight in a way that supports both your clinical work and wellbeing. Sharing is always optional, and there is no expectation to present client material.
