This moderately strenuous 7km walk will uncover some of the secrets of the past around Malham Tarn. From it's formation to more recent history, our volunteers have tales of glaciers, cave men, monks, drovers and more. You'll gain a better understanding of this amazing landscape and get fitter at the same time.

We'll mainly follow grassed paths and gravelly estate tracks with some short rougher sections. There are a couple of stiles to cross. The route is undulating with some steady uphill stretches and one steep downhill section on a grassy path. We will be going at a comfortable pace suited to the group members and we'll stop frequently to find out about things of interest and rest. There will be an opportunity to use the toilet, though please note there are no toilet facilities at the start of the walk.

There will be a lunch stop (please bring a packed lunch).

Meet at Watersinks car park at 10.00am for a 10.15am walk start.
