About This Event

The Creative Disruption Forum in Oxford will host a workshop on 20 October 2026. This event will feature discussions with experts on contemporary investment and dealmaking strategies. Taking place at ARC Oxford, the workshop aims to provide attendees with valuable insights into effective practices in the financial sector. Tickets for the event are priced at £60.00.

Firstly, we are delighted to collaborate with Arc Oxford on Garsington Road, Oxford OX42SU who are letting us use their venue for our twenty fifth Creative Disruption Forum (CDF). This is for industry thought leaders, business leaders (CXOs), and R&D Directors of emerging biotech and biopharma companies, investors, service companies, our future and aspiring leaders plus anyone else who is interested and curious.

Keynote Interviews conducted by Prof Tony Sedgwick

This Creative Disruption Forum (CDF) is a discussion fora about the latest dealmaking and investment strategies working for life sciences inovation companies. For this we will have a number of well seasoned and successful life science sector keynotes in the morning that will set the tone for the day along with interaction from the participants. Then after a light lunch we will have afternoon workshops to discuss the topics of the day, which will culminate in general discussions. The purpose is to help our community build business relationships with like-minded individuals, to learn from each other and have some fun in the process through open and authentic dialogue with no information dumps. These discussions are conducted under Chatham House Rules so that we can be ourselves in a trusted space and not be quoted or misquoted outside of the event :)

Creative Disruption Forum—20 October 2025

The Creative Disruption Forum, hosted by Tony Sedgwick and Graham Combe at Arc Oxford, Garsington Road, Oxford OX42SU, will comprehensively examine the latest dealmaking and investor strategies and trends. This is conducted with the "boots on the ground" experts that are actively working in the field. From investors, to biotech and life science innovation CEOs, to the middle men and professionals helping the deals to succeed, we learn from the doers in a format and fora that is interactive, engaging and intimate expertly moderated by our resident thought-leader Prof Tony Sedgwick....... guarenteed to be a better learning experience than AI.

The Agenda in Summary

The approximate CDF agenda is:

10-10.30 am arrival with coffee & teas, biscuits & fruit - networking

10.30-10.50 am - initial introduction to event, sponsor intros and house keeping etc

10.50- 12.00 - Initial Keynotes interviews with investors and those with recent investment

12.00-12.20 pm - coffee & tea break

12.20-12.50pm - Keynote interviews with dealmakers kicking off with James Fry, Mills & Reeve will outline what he is seeing in the dealmaker landscape.

12.50-1.30 pm - Then we have the "boots on the ground" company interviews to get their perspectives.

1.30-2.30 pm - light lunch with coffee + refreshments

3.00-4.00 pm - 6-8 workshops with a Group Leader on each - a great way for everyone to get to know each other.

4.00-5.00 pm - The workshop Group Leaders overview their discussions and Tony Sedgwick round up.

5.00-5.15 pm - End

6 -8 pm - Unofficial Drinks & Networking at the Oxford Retreat.

ADMISSION FEE for Service Companies such as CROs, CDMOs, Patent Attorneys, Consultancy Firms = £120 - ALL-INCLUSIVE .

ADMISSION FEE for Innovative Emerging Life Science Companies and Independent Consultants = £60

At all our events, we encourage dialogue in the room with the keynotes and participants expertly moderated by our resident thought leader, Prof Tony Sedgwick. Tony and I have worked together developing our Agile Leaders, Biotech Buddies, #coffeebuddies and now our Creative Disruption Forums over the last nine years. During the pandemic, we did 3-4 #coffeebuddies "shows" weekly, linking our UK community to others worldwide.
